Founder and creative direction

Shabbir Mohammed is the founder and Creative Design Director of IMPRNT Brand Consultancy. With more than 25 years of experience, he connects strategic thinking with practical delivery across brand, digital, communications and physical implementation.
His career has been built around helping organisations communicate with greater clarity, consistency and confidence. From establishing a brand’s position and identity to carrying that thinking through websites, publications, campaigns, signage and physical environments, Shabbir understands that a brand must do more than look distinctive. It must help people understand the organisation, trust what it stands for and experience it consistently wherever they encounter it.
Shabbir’s approach is grounded in the belief that strategy and implementation should never be separated. A strong idea can lose its value when it is translated inconsistently, handed between disconnected suppliers or reduced to a collection of visual assets. He therefore remains closely involved from the early strategic stages through to final production and rollout.
An integrated perspective
Clarify the position, purpose and decisions the organisation must support.
Translate that direction into a distinctive and usable system.
Carry the system through digital, communications and physical environments.
Give teams and suppliers the tools to protect intent over time.
How Shabbir works
This combination of creative direction and hands-on production experience gives Shabbir a broad understanding of how brands operate in the real world. He understands the strategic questions leadership teams must answer, as well as the practical decisions involved in typography, layouts, digital systems, materials, manufacturing, print specifications, signage fabrication, installation, supplier coordination, budgets and deadlines.
For Shabbir, good creative direction begins with understanding. Before developing an identity or recommending a solution, he seeks to understand the organisation’s purpose, audience, environment, challenges and ambitions: what is changing, where confusion exists, who needs confidence and what the brand must enable the organisation to do next.
That thinking creates an approach focused on clarity rather than decoration. Every element must have a reason to exist. Every design decision must support the organisation’s position. Every channel must contribute to one coherent experience.
Experience in application
Senior-led engagements
Clients work directly with Shabbir throughout the engagement. He leads the creative direction, remains involved in key decisions and coordinates the specialist capabilities required to move the work forward. This senior-led model maintains continuity, reduces unnecessary handovers and keeps the person responsible for the strategic and creative direction accountable for the final result.
His leadership style is collaborative, considered and commercially aware. He listens carefully, challenges assumptions where necessary and communicates recommendations in straightforward language. His role is not simply to present creative options, but to help organisations reach a clear and defensible direction.
Technology and judgement
Shabbir’s formal background in graphic design and creative technologies is supported by decades of practical experience across evolving design, production and digital environments. He has worked through the transition from print-led communication to integrated digital platforms, responsive websites, content systems and AI-supported creative workflows.
He does not view technology as a substitute for strategic judgement. He uses it to support better thinking, accelerate appropriate tasks and create more responsive systems while maintaining human oversight, originality and accountability.
The objective
To create brands that are easier to understand, stronger in application and capable of moving with the organisation.
Because the most valuable brands are not only remembered for how they look. They are remembered for the clarity they create, the confidence they build and the consistency with which they are delivered.
