01

Client overview

The South Auckland Muslim Association Eid magazine is an annual community publication with contributions from organisational leaders, community members, advertisers and external sources.

02

Business challenge

Each edition must feel current while remaining manageable to produce. Large content volumes, varied image sources, multiple reviewers and fixed print deadlines create both editorial and production pressure.

03

Research

The multi-year archive made it possible to identify recurring content patterns, common production bottlenecks and the parts of the design system that needed to remain stable between editions.

04

Strategy

A governed publication structure separates annual theme from permanent editorial mechanics. Page architecture, typography and advertising formats provide continuity while cover direction and feature layouts create distinction.

05

Creative direction

The publication combines dignified typography, clear navigation and generous feature moments. The system respects the cultural and community context without relying on ornamental treatment as a substitute for hierarchy.

06

Execution

Work spans annual cover concepts, editorial design, advertising placement, certificates, supporting event material, image preparation and final print production.

07

Photography

Photography is edited for narrative relevance and consistent reproduction, with layouts designed to accommodate both professional and community-supplied imagery.
